We Are Family

"It's so great to be a Big Sister and Brother

One of the best things of having multiple children is seeing them interact together. I love to see them nurture each other and be so willing to share their love with each other.

Porter decided he was old and brave enough to change Lexi's daiper. It was so cute. He'll be the best dad one day.

Abi is such a good reader, but doesn't always want to sit down to read. One of the best ways to get her to do it joyfully is to have her read to Hayden or Lexi. It makes her feel so important. She does all the little voices and makes sure everyone can see the pictures.

Hayden just loves to be the little helper. It's just always exciting to see what he may want to help with. Lexi has this fun baby toy that she lays under and Hayden will take the toys on and off for her. If they hang to long in her face, he is so sweet and wraps the toy around the top so its out of her face. He's so cute. He loves to bring her bottle to me, he loves to throw away her diaper and oh how fun it is when he wants to push her swing. :)"

From Princesses to Hanna Montana

I thought the love of Disney Princesses would last forever and didn't get into it as much as I should have. I discovered this when Abi announced that princesses are 'baby-ish' and that she is only into Hanna Montana now. My heart just dropped, I couldn't believe she was growing up so, so fast!!!!

She then started playing and doing her own hair. It was cute and fun when she did it in the evening after school. But one morning Abi came down the stairs ALL READY for school. Usually I'm lucky if her clothes are just on, but no, clothes on, teeth brushed and hair combed. Luckily it wasn't too bad. I didn't want to break her spirit and ask to re-do it. I could see the way she did it that it wouldn't stay in well, but she was so incredibly proud of herself that I just to smile and tell her how proud I was of her. Look at this sweet look on her face."
